When the Road is Steep, Remember

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Here is an inspiring quote:

Have great hopes and dare to go all out for them. Have great dreams and dare to live them. -- Norman Vincent Peale

Fear and indolence have no place in the kind of life that God wants us to lead. Trusting God without waivering and giving Him our best in all things that we do prepares us to fulfill the destiny that He gave to each and every one of us.

Later...

A man is as big as the things that make him angry. -- Winston Churchill

Interesting. A good topic for discussion, especially considering the times we live in, the terrorists (and others) who try to harm us, and the attitudes of popular culture.

Time to get some sleep! :)

It seems like every time I come on your blog, you have some scripture or quote that I need to read. :) God's got a plan! Thanks.

Hi Aslan!
Thanks for your comment and I'm so sorry that I couldn't reply earlier.

I'm back from Hong Kong. My travel was "eat! eat! eat!"

My PC motherboard has a problem, so I sent it to its factory.
When it's fixed I'll upload some photos:)

Thank and Hello again,

Hey, Peach! :)

You're welcome. I hope you had a wonderful time in Hong Kong! I bet you had a chance to use your new Mandarin Chinese skills. :D Wow, you always know the best foods to eat! ;)

Motherboard problems, oh dear, that sounds terrible and expensive, :P I can't wait to see your new pics! ^_^

Welcome back!

I think this verse should be etched onto my hand so I always see it. :)

Aslan said...

Hey, Danika. You got that right! :D

Lol, Muff. I guess etching would be a bit painful. :)

For some reason, I have never heard the music on your blog before. Oh, I love this song! It makes me sad-in a good way-to listen to it though, because I think back to the times the movies were out. That is so weird....

Aslan said...

Hey, Danika. :)

I can understand the nostalgia. ^_^

I love this song too. It makes me think about the struggles in life and how Frodo and Sam pushed through theirs with hope.

Hey Aslan,
My computer is finally working. I just wanted to thank you for that quote, it's really amazing and is just what I wanted to hear. Thanks for always posting such uplifting things. I always feel happier and better after I come to your blog.

almost time to post again .... if you're going to keep up the tradition of posting at the very last day of the month.... lol, are you?

Aslan said...

Hey, Eowyn. :)

Hahaha. Actually, I think I might post at the end of the week and break with tradition. ;)

I've got post ideas saved up now (for about three posts!). There's just not a lot of time to put them together, so they will probably be three terse posts.

Heh, a tounge-twister. Try saying, "three terse posts" five times in a row real fast, :P
